Ribbit Image Loading

The app is essentially running smoothly, however I have one issue.

When I am in the inbox, and I click on a message. It stays highlighted for 4-5 seconds until the photo is loaded, and then in changes to the ImageViewController.

But is is very slow. How can I make it segue immediately and then wait on other display?

The problem results from NSURL. NSURL simply gets data on the main thread. This means that user's scree might get frozen if he tries to request too much data, such as image. Try using NSURLConnection. It could be the answer to your problem.
