Rob Young made smells like bakin?

I was just searching "Smells like bakin" because I found the site they have hosted at the domain is not the responsive version (I wanted to reference how we did something in that track). So anyways on the first page of results I find this... http://robert.young1.org/smellslikebakin.php

I'm sure this happens often to you guys, I just thought it was funny, especially what he wrote regarding the project.

I never knew that and I see he also did the shirts for Mike website too. Thanks for sharing that!

You're welcome, I didn't even bother to look at the portfolio as a whole. Well played Robert Young, well played.

I think i've seen this before somewhere else... I think new designers/developers are just posting these as projects to add to their portfolio.

Yeah well that's definitely not ok when you claim the work as your own. Under "Rolls" it says "Visual Design" and "Front End Development" which means he's taking full credit for this from the ground up.

The proper way to use this content for a portfolio (which I would never advise anyone do) is to state that this work was completed as part of a tutorial on teamtreehouse.com.

To be fair to Rob Young (hopefully the right guy), he has said on the shirts4Mike website that it was completed as an exercise on Treehouse. It would probably be a good idea to say similar for the Smells Like Bakin.

I doubt that's the right guy given the fact that he's hardly completed anything on treehouse (192 total points). The "real" rob has completed the build a simple php site, build a wp blog, and build a simple website courses. Granted that's all coming from memory but I do know for certain you would earn over 1000 points from completing those courses.
