I have followed the ruby on rails project and I cant seem to find any video where they finally set it to automatically put the status name equal tot he current user name so at the minute any user can post a status as any other user with the drop down menu on the new status form.

4,071 PointsHey Jason!
In the simple Ruby app project we removed the name column from the statuses table and then out of left field, Jim is still able to call status.name in the index.html.erb file. Is this some voodoo ActiveRecord magic or did I miss something.
Looking forward to your response ( ...as I smile and turn my head to the right while still maintaing focus straight ahead )
Thanks!
