Let's add a pets_path helper method. Assign a name of 'pets' to the get '/pets' route.

routes.rb 
Rails.application.routes.draw do
  get '/pets', to: 'pets#index' as: 'pets'

there should be a comma between 'pets#index' and as

do this:

get '/pets', to: 'pets#index', as: 'pets'

get '/pets/:id', as: 'pets#show'
