    @name = name
    @todo_items = []
  end

  def add_item(name)

For this exercise its looking for you to loop through the class variable todo_items to find the name. Each time it isn't found you increment the index. If it finds it you break out of the loop early and return the index, otherwise return nil:

def find_index(name)
  index = 0
  found = false
  todo_items.each do |todo_items|
    if todo_items.name == name
      found = true
      break
    else
      index += 1
    end
  end

  if found
    return index
  else
    return nil
  end
end
