ruby installation environment

Hello teamtreehouse community,

I am having difficulties trying to create a sample app for my newly installed ruby on rails. I am on a mac osx mavericks, using iTerm2 and zsh.

when i type ruby -v i am shown ruby 2.0.0p451 and rails -v shows rails 4.0.4

however when i go and try to create a sample app a long error message comes up stating that my library did not load. any clues as to why ruby on rails is not working?

or how I can delete ruby and start from scratch. thank you!
