Ruby on Rails application hosting

I have just bought package of justhost.com , but I am facing problem in running my application on the server, when I questioned Justhost they just gave me a guildline but I fail ti understand.

Guilsline Goes like this:

  1. create a Symlink to the public folder of your application.
  2. Setup the .htaccess file
  3. I fail to understand where they want us t run the command lik erm ~/APPNAME/public/.htaccess
  4. Do they have command prompt or some thing like that???

regards I am sorry but it is something confusing me and customer support donot want to listen to me.

Yes, Mr. James. You are correct. Problem is I have never used PuTTY in my life, as I have only used Command Prompt and they were not kind enough to answer my queries openly.

I suppose they want more money. I know where their manual suggest use of PuTTY. Regards Nandini

Treehouse has a great course called Console Foundations, which will cover a lot of those Linux commands. Once you work through that course, just post any questions you have about the directions here.
