Hello, I am kind of new to the programming world.

I would like to know if the work is a safe choice to practice with before applying to developer schools.

this is what I am working with right now. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH15522?viewlocale=en_US

On getting your Mac Rails environment set up: http://railsapps.github.io/installrubyonrails-mac.html This is what I used to get things working. Kepe in mind that following the guide will get you on Rails 4.1 which is not what the version used in the Treebook course here on TeamTreehouse. You should, however, be okay on the Odot project.
