Running a project in Android Studio fails with this error: could not find any version that matches

It wont work as shown in the video.

The error reads as could not find any version that matches com.android.support:appcompat-v7:+

There is no existing code imported and no preview of the phone screen.

TO FIX;

From Android Studio go to: Tools >> Android >> SDK Manager

Select and install "Extras|Android Support Repository"

It will take a while to do this as it updates a large number of files.
