It wont work as shown in the video.
The error reads as could not find any version that matches com.android.support:appcompat-v7:+
There is no existing code imported and no preview of the phone screen.
TO FIX;
From Android Studio go to: Tools >> Android >> SDK Manager
Select and install "Extras|Android Support Repository"
It will take a while to do this as it updates a large number of files.
