Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Creating the Screen Layout Setting Padding

Running Android App

Every time I try to run an app using Android Studio, it takes a very long time then my computer hangup and I have to force quit the application. a small message appear in the bar below says: Gradle: executing Tasks [:app: assemble Debug] My computer is Mac 1.7 GHz 4G RAM

If you're using the emulator inside of Android Studio, it's very slow. Even using the genymotion emulator can take a few minutes on the first compile. Try using an android phone plugged into the usb to test on, and be patient while gradle builds the project. If it takes more than 5 minutes, ask again.

I still have a problem with Android studio. I uninstall the app and reinstall using the link provided in the teacher note. I did this process several times but with no use. The problem is when I start the Android Studio it takes forever to start and a message at the bottom bar showing Gradle: Build
