sass advanced selectors

I'm having an issue on the last task of the code challange: We want to add an exception for <a> tags that are are in the <div> with a class of .footer: those links should be purple. Use the post-selector ampersand to achieve this. ``` /* Write your SCSS code below. */ p { a { color:red; .footer & { color:purple; } }

a { color:blue; &:hover { opacity:0.5; } } }

That is what I have been trying , and I can't figure out what is wrong with my code there, but obviously I'm missing something, any help?

p {
    a {
        color: red;
        div.footer & {
            color: purple;
        }
    }
    > a {
        color: blue;
        &:hover {
            opacity: 0.5;
        }
    }
}

I found putting div before .footer helped
