Sass if else Code not parsing through

I feel it I did it right as per the challenge instructions and the Sass syntax but the error remains the same as "The color should be red".

Can anyone help me to figure out the issue on this challenge that appears as task 4/4

It looks like you put your variable and if statement inside of the mixin. Take $time:morning and everything below it outside of the mixin. Below I have document the issue:

/* Write your SCSS code below. */
@mixin cars($make, $color){
  .#{$make}{
    border: 1px solid black;
    background-image: url("#{$color}.png");

    }
<-- Your mixin should close here (move the very last closing brace to here.

     $time:  morning;

a {
  @if $time == morning {
    color: red;
  } @else if $time == afternoon {
    color: blue;
  }@else {
    color: gray;
  }
}

} <--- This is the culprit
