Saving changes in style.css

I am changing my first website, and when I make any change in style.css, they don't appear in the browser. Is it normal?

You want to reload your page in the browser whenever you make changes to your css file and want to see the results.

ctrl+r <-- shortcut to reload the page on pc command+r <-- shortcut to reload page on mac

Yes, it is linked. I cleared chache in chrome now and it works. But is it necessary to clear cache any time I want to see how my changes in style.css look like?

I would try control+r if you experience the problem again. This will reload and page and 'should' cause the browser to fetch a new copy of the cache.

My guess if have a bug in your CSS and it's not applying the styles like you intended. Post your HTML & CSS and we can try and help you out.

Can you give more details please ? For the first look it seems some prob with the path for the css or the link, More details will be great.
