Saving .html file

When I open my textedit on my mac, it doesn't let me save it as a .html file. It is forcing me to save it as a .rtf and then I can not open it in Safari or Google Chrome

Hi,

I installed Brackets onto my MacBook, it is an open source text editor that is used for web development. You should try it out since it is totally free. I can verify this, because I have been using it for more than 5 months and it has been super useful for my development activities.

Hope this will help you.

Hi,

are you sure you can't select html from the file format drop down menu when you try and save the file out. You should be able to see and follow this:

So when you name the file it won't let you add the .html extension to it?
