Says i have syntax errors not to sure what im doing wrong

Example.java
class Example {

  public static void main(String[] args) {
    GoKart kart = new GoKart("purple");
    if (kart.isBatteryEmpty()) {
      System.out.println("The battery is empty");
    }
    kart.drive(42);
  }
  try {

    kart.drive(42).

} catch(IllegalArgumentException iae) {

    System.out.println( iae );

This clears for me.

Example.java, inside the "try" block, there seems to be a period (dot) where there should be a semi-colon

I changed that and it still giving me the same error

is the try/catch suppose to be within the main() function in Example
