Please what's wrong with my script?

def first_number(string1):
  return re.search(r'\d, string1)

The code challenge is asking to return the first number in a string (that should be the parameter of a function) by using re.

You are missing the second quote mark:

import re

def first_number(string1):
    return re.search(r'\d', string1)  # <-- added trailing quote
