ScrollView + Pagination vs. UIPageViewController

Great course! I know it just came out recently, which is why I ask the following question(s):

Is there any advantage of using this solution to create a walkthrough versus using a UIPageViewController? I've done both, and don't have a preference, just curious as to why someone might create a walkthrough in this manner versus using a UIPageViewController (or vice versa).
