setting up a mac developer environment

Do the Treehouse tutorial videos cover setting up a local development environment on a mac I fancy setting up sass, compass mamp but this will be my first Mac so a bit of guidance would be appreciated, also I would be interested to know what setups people have configured...

Cheers

There are about as many dev environments are there are developers. Best thing to do is follow the directions on the respective websites of each technology.

Embrace the errors!

Cheers chad, I appreciate what your saying there does appear to be loads of different methods

For MAMP check out this screencast from CSS Tricks on setting up MAMP

Then use this tutorial to configure your first site on MAMP

For sass and compass I recommend you check out compass.app

You should try MAMP. It's very straight forward.

development enviroments used to sound flashy to me untill i realised what they were...
