SFTP with Cyberduck failing.

Downloaded Cyberduck to use the SFTP for my website, put in all the user information provided by my webhosting site. When I try and connect I keep getting:

Connection Failed

Connection Refused: connect

Any ideas???

In the drop-down box at the top, make sure you've explicitly selected "SFTP", as "FTP" is the default, and will not work

Same thing happened, couldn't connect.

Sounds like a port related issue. You are going to need to contact your web host. Answering these kinds of questions is what you pay them for.

So the web host got back to me, they tested it and everything works. They said my network may be blocking FTP access, any idea how to change that?

I suspect everything always worked on their end. Knowing the correct information and method to configure your FTP client is another matter. More than likely you are just missing a step.

My guess is they may be using a non-standard SFTP port or maybe they use FTPS instead.

Communicating what you've done and figuring out if that's how it's supposed to be can be tricky. I usually recommend live chat and/or screen shots to help the process.
