4,849 PointsshadowColor not showing up on Crystal Ball app actual (run on my device)
This is a pretty small issue, overall, but I'm curious - While I know that the shadow effect won't show in the Eclipse preview - it's also failing to show on the emulator. I have the following settings within the TextView from my activity_main:
android:shadowColor="@android:color/white"
android:shadowRadius="10"
android:textColor="@android:color/white"
Any idea what could be going wrong? Is this just me?
I am loving this project by the way - it's a fantastic introduction. -Robb

2,204 PointsIs it showing on the real device ?

4,849 PointsUnfortunately not. Oddly, if I set the shadowDx and shadowDy properties, it will show - but with a different effect than the video shows, obviously. It's puzzling me, because I've downloaded the original source and can't see a difference. Hmm.
