Sharing badges to facebook?

When i recieve a badge it shows an icon to share but it only brings up an option to like it. Is it not possible to share badges to your facebook like you can with sites like codeccademy?

I'm also baffled that this is not possible. It has been asked for several times over the past year but no one is giving us a straight answer. Like LinkedIn integration or Facebook. I can't imagine it is a technical issue ;) So it must be something else.. Afraid of being banned from social media if too many badges are posted on timelines and it get's marked as annoying or spam by users? Just guessing..
