Should a Mobile developer learn Angular Js?

Do you all think that learning angular js would bring any value to a mobile developer?

1 Answer

I think it depends on a number of factors:

1) are you developing native apps or hybrid apps?

2) do you see a point in your future where you will be working on the web / environment where something like Angular and Javascript are going to be a prominent part of your work flow?

3) Are you interested in Angular outside of other factors.

End of the day I often find that we as developers are quick to put ourselves into boxes that define ourselves with titles such as "web developer', 'mobile developer' or'UX Developer'. But I feel that we should look at ourselves as problem solvers, who use the most appropriate tools to solve a problem, and the more tools you know the more options you have.

I see what you are saying in the end of your message but let's just say for someone that wants to learn how to write Native android and ios applications. I was just trying to get some guidance because a friend of mine just offered me a job at his start up that I will have to use Angular on the job. I was just curious if it would be me any value in the mobile world.
