Should I be replicating the code done in the videos?

I'm new to programming and I'm wondering if I should be replicating what is done in the videos. So far I have been watching them and then passing the quiz or code generator section, but am I supposed to be copying the instructor's work?

Ethan yes, and you should try to delevope something simple using what you have learn and built your application following the videos. It doesn´t matter if it is the same with different name, what it matter is that you are writing the same code over and over again.
