should I erase "extends ActionBarActivity"?

I'm following your awesome tutorials with the latest version of AS without any problems, the thing is my MainActivity says:

"... extends ActionBarActivity" and the ActionBarActivity is crossed out with a line, I'm wondering should I erase this or leave it be?

Leave it for now - the ActionBarActivity has become deprecated. It will work fine but you may get some Null Pointer problems later in the course. Come and shout for help if you do but for now, just carry on; you'll be fine!
