Hello Jahidul,

I think it is definitely beneficial for you to to learn WordPress. There will be time that websites that require beyond the basic of one content manager and complex workflow, a CMS platform is the next step up. Having CMS knowledge is a great addition to your portfolio and WP is a more straight forward CMS to learn.

You will also see how your previous learned knowledge of HTML,CSS,JAVASCRIPT,jQuery can work greatly in conjunction with WordPress nicely on the front-end. You will also learn the back-end language PHP and working with MySQL database.

Hope this info is helpful and wish you best wishes with your learning adventures ahead.

Cheers,

Bao

I would absolutely learn Wordpress, especially if you plan to be a freelance developer. Wordpress is popular and many of your clients will already be using the CMS or require you to recommend a suitable CMS.

Hi, Jahidul

Why learn wordpress? easy to answer, it is one more thing you will know. To be more specific, there are over 60 million websites made with wordpress, as in today 60% of the websites made with CMS are using wordpress.

Which opportunities does wordpress gives you? 1.- Wordpress consulting -> As a wordpress consultant you could help people by picking the right theme, and plugins for their bussiness. Make changes to any theme to suit the needs of your clients.

2- Theme Developer -> You could build a business or a career by developing sites from scratch, sell themes in marketplaces like themeforest.

3.- Plug-in developler -> Same as Theme developer but with plugins.

Hope this helps.
