Python

Should I replace Ruby basics with Python basics for a Python track?

I want to take the Python track which is coming soon, but I'm currently on Ruby. Should I also learn Ruby too, or should I skip Ruby basics and take Python basics then continue on?

You must first stick with what you started because if you start something new and later move on to a new programming language. You're most likely going to forget the syntax for that programming language. Especially for new programmers.

Yet, you could always go back to it but you're basically starting all over again. However, it is all up to you.

Thanks, I think I'll go ahead and go with Python for now then. I really liked that Ruby had a track, but I haven't done Ruby yet. I did How to create a website, Intro to Programming so far.

If you want to learn python, go to the python basics...stop ruby. If you want to learn ruby, continue with what you are doing.

Python will have a track soon! We're waiting on a couple more course releases and then we'll have a Learning Python (or some name) track for the basics of Python.
