Should I study color theory?

Hi. So, I went up to the CSS Comments lesson on the front end web dev track.

And now I've been wondering, since Sir Nick suggested to experiment and come up with color schemes and see how stuff works in regards to hexadecimal codes etc, I've been thinking on taking up a lesson or two on color theory via free resources (smashing magazine, html color codes)

Should I move ahead with the lessons or study up on color theory a bit, see how it works and then move on?

Thinking of halting for a day or two and studying it up.

Since some of you guys have gone through the track, I wanted to ask you all so that I can learn more efficiently :)

Thing is I don't know HOW TO come up with my own color schemes (yet) lol That's why I'm asking :D

By the way you ask a whole LOT of questions. xD

Sometimes, you don't need to ask a question. Answers come up naturally sometimes :)

Go ahead if you feel like it! It all up to you :)

If you can't decide, I would recommend it. I found it pretty useful while learning.

Ah, regarding the whole lot of questions asking part, um, yeah lol

I'll keep bugging you guys with more as I progress (unless I have the answers like you said and don't need to) xDDDDD Hope you don't mind lol

Nah. I actually enjoy writing answers. :)

Don't worry about that. Worry more about you learning well

Good luck learning! ~Alex

Color Theory is great to know. It's better to have a purpose for the use of color. If your designing a web page, follow the color standards of HTML and CSS for linking urls for example.
