the task states: In the 'makeGuess' method, store the text value from 'numberField' in the variable named 'userNumber'.

so you just need to assign the value of text property of the numberField property to the userNumber string variable thats declared inside the method.

- (IBAction)makeGuess:(id)sender {

    NSString *userNumber = self.numberField.text;

    // Check to see if the user's number is correct
    BOOL isCorrect = [GuessEngine testGuess:userNumber];
}
