Simple calcule issues

I Know its probably a really silly question but I cannot figure out, Why the result of this fonction is 10 and not 11.0.23

func calculateInPounds(weight: Int, poundsCoef: Int) -> Int { return weight * poundsCoef }

println("Here is the weight in pounds = (calculateInPounds(5, 2.2046))")

because you are returning/passing in ints which are whole numbers. calculations using ints will return whole numbers without decimals.

use floats or doubles instead (double will give you more precision)

func calculateInPounds(weight: Float, poundsCoef: Float) -> Float {
    return weight * poundsCoef
}

thanks a lot
