Simple Rails App Git Clone Issue

Hey all,

I am following along with the Simple Rails app, and I'm not having huge issues per se, I just don't understand why I am cloning the completed project? The project that gets cloned to my computer seems like it is the fully completed project that the tutorials are trying to get ME to do. So now, when I am watching the videos, I cannot follow along because everything is done for me. Is it supposed to be this way? (The .zip file in the lesson seems partially completed - the statuses page is designed, instead of getting the bare bones version they are working with in the video.)

Thanks for any help.

Hi Lindsay,

What do you mean cloning the completed project? We build the project from start to finish and you can follow along in the videos as well as download completed stage files.

I guess I was just confused that when you follow along with the tutorial you do a git clone and get a completed project. It threw me off for a bit because it seemed like, according to the video, it should just be a starting skeleton app.

I might be wrong but maybe the zip files you need are the ones from the previous section.

So for example when you are working on section 4 download section 3's zip file instead of section 4.
