So, even if the art board is scaled down to 50%, the elements will be exported in correct size? I'm a bit confused.

Software - Sketch I was able to get information relating to why the template elements were in different sizes on the art board when it is 100%. However, I still have few questions. If the art board is scaled down to 50%, would the elements will be exported in correct size? Also, if that is so - when working with template items, should all art boards be scaled down to 50%? Is this advisable or should we enlarge the elements when we are actually using the software on our own? Will this situation change in the future updates on Sketch? (I ask because I already purchased the software.) Thank you in advance for an answer!

@Yen Hee Park we've submitted the update to Apple with the fix (and a whole load of other cool stuff too) and it'll be out as soon as they approve it.

Ultimately, it's up to you whether you prefer to work at a 1x size (so the iPhone 6 artboard is 375px wide) or 2x (the same artboard would be 750px) Sketch has the flexibility to enable you to do what you prefer. It's just I personally use, and would recommend working at a 1x size.

If you're working at the larger size, export at a scale of 1x, as your assets will export at their actual size, and won't be multiplied.

Hope that helps!

Got it! Thank you!

You can enlarge the elements. Sketch is vector-based so enlarging files will be no problem. Sketch does the necessary calculations to scale the file up.

Thanks, David. I knew it was vector-based but I also wanted to find out if this is something they are going to fix. Thanks for the answer though.
