So if I build a site using the desktop version? I can't host // go live on the web with it?? :S
I want to build a site for my friends using wordpress but don't want to build it on the desktop and then not be able to host it or push it out onto the web?? Any clarification is appreciated..
If you build a WordPress site locally then you can push it up onto the web just fine! This is actually the way that a lot of companies, including the one I work for, do it. It is much easier to work locally and then push it up to a live site later because then you aren't relying on having a fast internet connection all of the time and etc...
I hope that I helped clear that up for you!

Deploying to a live server may not be available with the free version of DesktopServer.
