Social Network with HTML

Maybe this is to complicated but I am very curios to ask this so I will. Can you make a social network with HTML that has the log in and log out stuff, also that you can upload a picture and then someone will like it?

With HTML you can describe the structure of the pages of the social network. You'll need to use JavaScript to handle the behavioral stuff (log in, log out, sending file data, liking) and a server side language (like Ruby or PHP) and a database to process and display user interactions that result in persistent settings (an image is uploaded and stored, a picture stays liked, a user account exists, etc.).

HTML is a great place to start though!

Personally, I prefer writing in vim. However, Sublime Text is also quite excellent.

It is really a matter of personal preference though. Try out a few and find out what you like!
