So im currently doing Building a Basic Website and am in the section of uploading my site, so i did everything in the video i opened Cyberduck Opened a connection with my server and then i dragged my files in ( which were my CSS FOLDER and my INDEX.HTML DOCUMENT and my PICS folder and then after i drag it says that everything was uploaded successfully, after that i went to my browser (Google Chrome and Safari i tried both ) i typed in my sites url (which i made before because i was following the video if want to see it its www.smellslikebakin.juplo.com) and then only my html opens (my pictures and my text) but i get no style on it, so my css wont appear none of my styling that i did, so i went back to my finder opened the index.html file (on my browser) and everything appears fine, which means all my html and css is fine it just must be a uploading mistake or something.
Sorry for the real long post but i hope someone can PLEASE HELP !!!!
THANKS

28,149 PointsLooking at your source, your style sheets are not found. From your root folder, you style sheets should be living in a subfolder called CSS, is that correct?
Pablo Litardo
6,241 PointsYes my stylesheet is inside my css folder as also my grid.css and normalize.css

Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsDoes the page display right when you run it on your local machine?
If not then you may have some spelling issues or some typos (I didn't see any, but they can exist), I've done that a thousand times so I know how frustrating it can be .

6,241 PointsThanks, no when i open it on my computer it appears perfectly fine, everything is perfect.

Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsI would try to upload the files one at a time, when you look at the source you're getting a failed to load resources error so something could be getting screwed up when uploading them
Pablo Litardo
6,241 Pointsdo you mean everything thats in the folders uploading them separately ? because i already tried downloading each folder separately.
George Offley
Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsYes, you could start by uploading you CSS files one by one that way you use the process of elimination to figure out the issue.
Pablo Litardo
6,241 PointsNope Dude i wont work, btw can you share pics in forums ?
George Offley
Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsThere's a markdown cheat sheet on the bottom of the thread, if you click that it can show you how to add pictures
And that's odd Let me think...
Pablo Litardo
6,241 PointsOh thanks dude i'll add some

Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsDid you look into the case of the link command? it looks like the file, name uppercase (ALL CAPS) and it looks like the files your html is looking for might be lower case.. I believe that matters in html.
Edit: specifically the css file where the name of the file is in all caps and in the link you reference it in lower case
Pablo Litardo
6,241 PointsYes!!!! Thanks You So Much !!!! It worked my css file was all caps and was supposed to be lowercase ( just what you said ) dumb me lol
Thanks Lots George Offley !!!!

Courses Plus Student 7,386 PointsNo problem, anytime!
And don't worry it's one of many mistakes that you will continue to make, but they're good mistakes because they teach you something!
Pablo Litardo
6,241 PointsYes yes they are, Thanks again !!!
