Some suggestion for the scoring system.

Hello Guys!

First of all I would congratulate Nick Pettit and the rest of the teachers that they have done a great job in the much needed revision of the Web Design Track (and may be other tracks). The thing I like most is explanation of the code line by line and repeated explanation of same things in more than one videos which helps understand the things more clearly. All of the aspects of creating the front end of a website are covered in "How to design a website" which is excellent and is a starting point for the students to explore and develop other projects on the basis of principles learned. The complete Web Design track also seem to be well structured and include all the important aspects of web design.

That said, I just want to mention a little problem with the scoring system. Some students like me don't have a very fast internet connection because of which I have to download the videos and can't watch it online without stuttering. This makes the server "think" that I haven't seen the videos thus keeping them unchecked. Now I have completed the first whole section and solved all reviews and code challanges but still some points are missing and I assume these are because of unchecked videos.

If this is the case I would like the administration to exclude videos from the scoring system. If this is not the case then I want to ask why I have 620 score out of 658 when I have solved all the code challanges and reviews? What is it that I am missing?

I actually have a good connection (usually) and yet still have this issue as well. I'd recommend contacting support here--they are super on top of this, because they realize it helps motivate students! :grinning:
