Java Java Objects Creating the MVP Current Progress

Something wrong with the letter variable.

I don't know what's happening but I whenever I try to compile the code it gives 2 errors that is about the "letter" variable from getCurrentProgress. Here's the code.

class Game {

  private String answer;
  private String hits;
  private String misses;


  public Game(String answer) {
    this.answer = answer;
    hits = "";
    misses = "";
  }

  public boolean applyGuess(char letter) {
    boolean isHit = answer.indexOf(letter) != -1;
    if(isHit) {
      hits += letter;
    } else {
      misses += letter;
    }
    return isHit;
  }
  public String getCurrentProgress() {
    String progress = "";
    for ( char letter : answer.toCharArray()); {
    char display = '-';
    if (hits.indexOf(letter) != -1) {
      display = letter;
    }
    progress += display;
  }
  return progress;
}

}

remove the semi-colon(;) from after the brackets in the for loop

for ( char letter : answer.toCharArray()); {

should read

for ( char letter : answer.toCharArray()) {
