I've spent the last hour trying to debug and find out why its not working. When I check the console i get "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'add' of undefined app.js:6" but i still can't figure out why its not rendering to HTML.

var playlist = Playlist();
you need to write it like this:
var playlist = new Playlist();
