How do I reduce the space between "Journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountains" and "Lake Tahoe, California"

Set the padding to a value small like 10px.

You could apply this to the h1 rule in your CSS file:

h1 {
  margin-top: auto;
}

auto could also be any other value (px, em, % etc...)
