def squared(num):
    try :
        i = int(num)
        return i*i
    except ValueError :
        return (i+i)

# EXAMPLES

# squared("2") would return 4

Take a look at the third of their examples:

# squared("tim") would return "timtimtim"

Your code would return "timtim" for this example. You need to return strings multiplied by their length, rather than simply concatenate the string with itself once, regardless of length.
