stage 2 challenge 1

Create a child selector to target the anchor element that is a direct child of the div. Set its color to green and font weight to bold.

You need to be selecting div a for this challenge, not class main.

Here are the instructions again:

Create a child selector to target the anchor element that is a direct child of the div. Set its color to green and font weight to bold.

div a will select the anchor elements that are direct children of div elements. Not sure where you got the main class from as I don't see it in the HTML.
