Starting a job listing service. Need advice on what CMS to use.

Hi!

Sorry if I am being a bit vague here, but...

I am in the planning stage of starting a service that will be a job listing service, targeted towards a very specific segment.

What I am asking is what CMS would be best to use? I have looked into Drupal, Joomla and CMS Made Simple.

The site would be basically like most job listing sites. There will be a search enginge, possibility for applicants and employers to make accounts etc.

What would be the best CMS to start with.

Thanks!

Hi Thorstein, I would consider using Wordpress. I have tried Drupal and have not had very much luck with it working out for me. I have watched numerous tutorials and read a few books, but I think if you have a strong developers background then you will be okay. I think for a CMS, Wordpress is great and is friendly to use. I do not know much about Joomla or CMS Made Simple. But I have used Wordpress for several sites and one being a social site. Just my two cents. Gary

Not sure a CMS is what you want. A CMS is meant for the administrators of a site not the users of a site.

That being said, Wordpress is taking over the world so people have written plugins to turn a Wordpress blog into a job search site.
