IMHO a good way to do this is using the iOS Development with Swift track or the iOS Development with Objective-C track if you'd like to use Objective-C for your iOS App.
Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift from the iOS Development with Swift track shows you how to build an iOS App from scratch and gives you a great outline of the process.
