Now I just feel STUPID !!!!!! Zac helped me get restarted. Thank you, Zac. I use google chrome. When I start google chrome it opens with several pre-set tabs How do I get it to open so I can work with it to complete the index.html file in the notepad and continue on to the next step ?????

You have two tabs open, one with Treehouse and the other with index.html, right? Click one of the tabs and drag it down a few inches - that will pop it out into a separate window. Then, depending on how big your screen is, you might be able to move and resize the windows so they fit next to each other, or you might need to have them overlapping a little, but you'll be able to see both at once.

Hi Patti, do you mean how do you open the HTML file in a tab in Chrome? You just need to find the index.html file in Finder or Windows Explorer, right-click it, and select Open With > Google Chrome.

Just to add on to what Kathryn said, you can also go to the folder that contains your index.html file and drag it over your browser window and then drop it.

Than ks all !!!

Kathryn and/or Joel Still lost !!!! I got Notepad to open on my computer but I can not get it to go as a "New Tab" unless I open with Internex Rxplorer and I don't want that. I want the tab is Chrome --- Why can I not fiqure this out ??? It can NOT be this difficult !!!!!

How about if you open Chrome, open a new tab, then select File > Open File and find your index.html file. That will open your file in a new tab in Chrome.

Thanks Karen !! I will try that !!

oops, just realized I wrote Karen instead of Kathryn, sorry !!! I did what you suggested -- open chrome, new tab, found html file, The tab was renamed to "index, html. Now can not get treehouse and new tab open at same time, so I can code while I watch video ----- it just can not be this complicated !!!

Thanks Kathryn I appreciate all you have helped me this weekend.
