Status bar color

What code do I need to implement to change the color of the status bar to light content

1 Answer

in your info.plist file: set 'View controller-based status bar appearance' as NO

then in your app delegate add this line to your - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions{ method

[[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarStyle:UIStatusBarStyleLightContent];

there are multiple ways of doing this but this is one of the easiest if you prefer to write more code than mess with a lot of plist values.
