You can start with the front end track courses as this track will guide you step by step and give you the tools you will need laer for your goal of become a wordpress developer. After that, I would suggest you cherrypick those course in the php development track that you have not done in the front end track and add them to your skill set. After that, you can move to the wordpress development track. You will never regret following this steps as you will easily grab everything Zac Gordon, the wordpress teacher is spitting out. This is the super-fast way to becoming a whiz kid (oh sorry whiz man) developer. Following other steps may be waste of time. It is better to build up your knowledge in a systematic way as oppose to randomly. Hope this help. But is if want to know how to use wordpress only and not how to become a wordpress bender, just go straight to various wordpress courses. You will still be able to manage but you wont be able to bend wordpress or create your own product. You will only be managing other people's products and always waiting for them to tell yiu what to do or you will be complaining that their support system is not good like many people do.

If you don't have programming knowledge, I recommend you to start with something basic courses of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP least then wordpress courses.
HTML -> http://teamtreehouse.com/library/treehouse-club-html http://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-website CSS -> http://teamtreehouse.com/library/treehouse-club-css http://teamtreehouse.com/library/css-basics JavaScript -> http://teamtreehouse.com/library/treehouse-club-mash http://teamtreehouse.com/library/treehouse-club-javascript http://teamtreehouse.com/library/javascript-basics PHP -> http://teamtreehouse.com/library/php-basics
I hope I've been helpful. Good luck and welcome to this wonderful community.

15,622 PointsHI Ian,
What is your coding experience?
You can go straight to wordpress development here.
I advise you to start with 'Getting started with wordpress' and then move to 'How to make a website with wordpress', 'Building a wordpress theme' and 'Developing a wordpress plugin'.

3,006 PointsMy coding is experience from little to none. It is almost none existent. That is why I was contemplating if I should go get some coding lesson done first before doing the Wordpress lesson.
Is it advisable to go right ahead with Wordpress without at least have the knowledge of HTML or CSS?
