Strictly Speaking, Why No "Var"?

I noticed in this workshop, "var" is omitted in creating new cities. I thought it was considered good practice to always use var.

I watched the "Use Strict" workshop. I thought I remember an error with not declaring "var" is used as an example.

Am I missing something?

no you are correct. A var is good practice and with 'use strict' it is required.
