PHP Object-Oriented PHP Basics Building the Recipe Controlling the Class

Struggling with probably all three tasks :(

Define a constructor method on the Fish class with 3 parameters, in order, named $name, $flavor, and $record.

fish.php
<?php

class Fish
{
    public $common_name;
    public $flavor;
    public $record_weight;

    public function getInfo() {
      return "A {$this->common_name} is an {$this->flavor} flavored fish. The world record weight is {$this->record_weight}.";
    }
}

?>

Hi there Justin!

Straight to the point. If you look closer to the task defenition you will understand what to do. It asks you to define class constructor.

Here is the constructor declaration:

public function __construct ($name, $flavor, $record)
{
    $this->common_name = $name;
    $this->flavor = $flavor;
    $this->record_weight = $record;
}

Whole code(with constructor):

class Fish
{
   public $common_name;
   public $flavor;
   public $record_weight;

   public function __construct ($name, $flavor, $record)
   {
        $this->common_name = $name;
        $this->flavor = $flavor;
        $this->record_weight = $record;
    }

    public function getInfo()
    {
      return "A {$this->common_name} is an {$this->flavor} flavored fish. The world record weight is {$this->record_weight}.";
    }
}

Test this code. Hope this will help.

It's ok to fail, but keep trying and you will receive the result ;)

Best regards.

Thanks!
