Stuck in .footer & question

I went over and over this code, with evermore abstruse alternatives, and I can't get it to validate. What is wrong here?

Got the solution from the forum. The reason the code wasn't validating... was because I was using .footer instead of "div.footer"!!

The time I lost on this because of this idiocy....

feel your pain, man. Stuck for an hour with this, testing on my PC to find what am I doing wrong.

I got stuck in this challenge too. Thank you for providing solution! But I still don't get it why it is not ".footer &". Anyway thanks a lot!!
