Hey Justin. Maybe this will work?

     var secret;
     do {
       secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
     }
     while ( secret !== "sesame" );
     document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

I'm not sure if this is exactly the issue, but you are defining VAR SECRET twice. Once globally (outside of your loop) and once within the loop.

If you already have it defined globally you just need to call it, not re define it. Any time you write var in front of a variable, it defines it.

So try below, where I only define var secret ONCE and work from there.

var secret;
do {
 secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
while ( secret !== "sesame" ) {
  secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");
}
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
