Stuck on this section, don't understand why the '%s' isn't working

Can't get past this step not sure why

You're definitely on the right track, but you need to combine your printf statement with the comment you wrote below it. Challenges are often very specific about what they want. So in this case, you need to have the rest of the string "<YOUR NAME> can code in Java!" exactly as it's written.

String firstName = "MAC";
console.printf("%s" ,firstName); // Include the sentence below here, using %s for your name.
//console.printf("%s can code in java");
